Kusemai
It is one of the medieval Noh performing arts that flourished from the Nanbokucho period to the Muromachi period. Also written in other word as “久世舞-Kuse Mai” and also called “Mai-mai” and “Mai”. It is said that actors sang while holding a fan and singing along with the drum in the performing arts of one-person dance or two-person dance, but even with the same name, it seems that there was a big difference depending on the times. It is said that Noh actor Kan’ami (Kan’ami) was incorporating the music of Kuseimai into Noh, and “Noh Kuse ” is to be established. In addition, the famous “kōwakamai ” as Nobunaga Oda (Nobunaga Oda) was dancing is prosperity in the late Muromachi period, at the time kusemai is said that it was there to represent.
